About the Event

Join in and help support OmThrive Foundation this SATURDAY JUNE 27th at 10AM (PST), for a 90 minute Vinyasa/Yin yoga experience to bring awareness to survivors and raise funds!

The idea for OmThrive came from founder and friend Day Bibb, while she was coping with health problems resulting from emotional and physical trauma. She was also experiencing physical and mental symptoms of PTSD as a result of domestic violence. She did not know the profound effect that yoga would have, not only to ease her physical symptoms but also help her navigate through her mental and emotional symptoms. The more she practiced the more she found strength in her physical AND emotional body. OmThrive is Days way of sharing this component of healing with communities that are severely underserved and underrepresented.

The mission of Om Thrive is to provide healing yoga and wellness resources and yoga practice to survivors of domestic violence and underserved communities of color. Her primary focus is to serve these communities to promote empowerment and change.

Day is working to raise $30,000 to fund the lease take over of a turn-key yoga studio space for Om Thrive Foundation. This space will be dedicated to provide free yoga and wellness classes to survivors of domestic violence and 200 hour yoga teacher certifications to people of color.

For more info, follow @omthrivefoundation and check out the incredible efforts and work Day commits to daily. I am so thankful to know Day and to help support this cause and her in anyway I can. If you can’t attend the yoga class on Saturday consider donating what you can and sharing information to anyone you know will benefit from this cause.

I love you and I appreciate you. Let’s continue to do the work to restore justice in our hearts, mind, bodies and the system!
